Cutting speed for rotating tool is the speed that the periphery of the tool in meter/min as it acts on the material being machined.

**Cutting Speed** = Peripheral Speed

Cutting Speed is measured in M/Min

Cutting speed formula:

**n** = revolutions/min (rpm)

**D** = diameter of the tool (mm)

**Vc** = cutting speed (m/min)

**Feedrate** = rpm * number of teeth * cut depth/tooth
